Emotional Literacy at Parley
Parley School prides itself in providing a nurturing environment, giving a personalised service, by a team of staff who are trained to delivered valuable programmes.
Trained teaching assistants take groups of children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 each week for small group SEAL (Social and Emotional Literacy). It is hoped that all children will benefit from participation in this well run activity.
Sometimes children have issues that they would like support with or help in increasing their confidence at school. Parents are asked for feedback and are welcome to discuss this program with the staff.
School has two trained ELSAs (Emotional Literacy Support Assistants) who work closely with the County Educational Psychologist Service to provide individualised support to the children in our care.
Time to Talk
Time to Talk is a group for all parents held on an afternoon on the first Monday of the month. It is a great opportunity to meet other parents and share idea. Sessions include friendships, home-school communications, school routines and encouraging independence. You can look forward to an open and honest attitude from school as we strive to improve partnership between parent and school.
